  Lang Van is, hands down the best Vietnamese food in Charlotte. The food is fresh, the menu has something for everyone and the staff is second to none. Super service, attentive, and genuine. The first time you go in, you’re a customer but you leave as family. This restaurant is beyond. We have been going there for over a decade. The owner remembers every client and and what they like. The food seems simple yet tastes wonderful. My favorite are yellow pancakes, avocado smoothie, and pineapple fried rice. Delicious every time. Enjoyable every visit.

  I saw this was top rated on trip advisor. When we got here and I was scared to go in because I wasn’t sure if it would be nice/clean. I’m so glad I went in because the inside was clean and the people were so sweet. The food was INCREDIBLE. We will definitely be back!!

  We ordered hot pot with a variety of ingredients: beef, chicken, shrimp, crab, pork, and meatballs. It was pricey ($30+), but we were happy to pay the price for the variety of ingredients. When we received the food, the crab, pork, and meatballs were not there. The waiter informed us that they didn't have these ingredients after we started eating already. They didn't warn us about it when we ordered. We paid the full price for half of the ingredients we were hoping to get in the first place. The food tasted fine, but we were hoping for more.

  Interesting place. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it is nice inside. What is impressive about the place is such a high level of customer service. All the wait staff will fill your drink, ask if you need anything, etc. No waiting around for one person. There is a huge menu. It is longer than the Cheesecake Factory menu. I think it would be better if it was shorter and packed with only their best dishes. With that being said, what I ordered was just okay. It has crab and shrimp in it that was over cooked and a bit tough. The flavors were good, however. I feel like if I ordered something else I would have had a better experience. Other than that, the place was a good find.

  When they say that appearances can be deceiving, this is definitely a hidden gem that they are referring to. Set back from the road as it is, you could live here your whole life and never become aware of this hidden oasis. From the minute that you first open the door and enter the building, you know immediately that you have come to the right place. All of your senses are immediately overcome with a welcome ambiance. From the music emanating from the speakers; which is decidedly upbeat. To the tables which are covered with white linen tablecloths and hand-embroidered with a colorful map of Vietnam that is covered with a sheet of pristine glass, to your white-linen napkin. From your beverages, that are never given a chance to fall below halfway, to the crispness and snap of the fresh vegetables and the spring rolls that are fresh from the grease and served piping hot, yet leave no sign or indication of grease. To the main courses that are plentiful, tasty and served piping- hot. A well run restaurant that is fully-staffed with family members, that each take a noticeable interest in your satisfaction and enjoyment of your meal.
